Child safety standards

Our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We adhere to Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy for social and dating apps, and to the child safety laws of India, where this service is operated. Last reviewed 3 September 2026.

What is prohibited

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, real, edited or generated.
• Sexualisation of a minor, including text, images and roleplay.
• Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to contact a minor for sexual purposes.
• Trafficking, sextortion, or sharing of intimate images of a minor.
• Off-platform links or handles offering any of the above.

How we prevent minors from being here

• A date-of-birth gate at signup. Being under 18 is a refusal, not a smaller experience — we do not offer a minor's version of this app.
• Entry is a paid install through Google Play, which requires a payment method a minor is far less likely to hold — a barrier, not a guarantee, and we do not claim it as one.
• Where photos or reports suggest someone may be under 18, the account is routed to a human reviewer. We never ban on an automated age estimate alone, because those estimates carry a margin of several years — but we do look.
• Every profile, conversation, post and comment can be reported, by anyone, at any time, from inside the app, without paying for anything. Reporting is never behind a plan and never behind a payment.

What happens when CSAE is found or reported

1. The content is removed from view immediately.
2. It is preserved, not deleted. Sections 19–21 of the POCSO Act make reporting mandatory, and destroying the material would destroy both the evidence and our own proof that we acted.
3. The account is locked.
4. We report to the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal and the appropriate Special Juvenile Police Unit.
5. We do not notify the account holder, because doing so would tip off a suspect.

Our assistant, and anything generated

OoruSuttu includes an AI assistant, and it is covered by everything on this page without exception. Generated material is not a loophole: an image or a piece of text that sexualises a minor is prohibited here whether a camera made it, an editor made it, or a model did.

• The assistant will not produce sexual content involving minors, and attempts to make it do so are treated as reportable conduct rather than as a failed request.
• It never reads a conversation unless the person in that conversation switches it on and taps to ask — never in bulk, and never in the background.
• Our model providers apply their own child-safety filtering, and we treat that as a second layer rather than as our defence. The obligation on this page is ours.

How these standards are kept

These standards are reviewed at least once a year, and immediately after any incident or any change to the law they rest on. They are published at a fixed public address so that they can be cited, compared against, and held to.
