Delete your account or your data

OoruSuttu, by Mukherjee Alliances Infotech Private Limited. Delete everything, or only part of it — both routes are below.

1. In the app — immediate

Open OoruSuttu → You → Delete account. Your profile, photos, likes, matches and messages are deleted straight away. Nothing is kept in a “deleted” state waiting to be restored.

2. Here — if you no longer have the app

Enter the email address you signed up with. We will verify that it is yours before deleting anything, then erase the account.

Why this is a request and not a button. A page that deleted an account on nothing but a typed address would let anyone delete anyone else's account. So we record the request, verify that the address is yours, and then erase it. We acknowledge within 24 hours and complete within 15 days — usually far sooner.

Deleting only some of your data — without closing your account

You do not have to delete everything to delete something. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to erase specific personal data while keeping your account, and we will.

In the app, immediately: remove or replace any photo (You → edit profile), rewrite or clear any prompt answer, change your areas, interests and languages, and unmatch a conversation — which deletes that conversation for both people.
By email, for anything else: write to contact@oorusoul.com from the address on your account, saying what you want erased. Examples we act on: individual messages, your entire message history, your photo history, your likes and passes, or the record of a report you filed.

We acknowledge within 24 hours and complete within 15 days. If something must be kept — a tax record, or a ban fingerprint — we tell you what and why rather than silently keeping it.

What gets deleted when you delete the whole account

Your profile, photos, prompts and interests.
Your likes, passes, matches and messages.
Your account identifiers.

What is kept, and why

If your account was banned: a one-way fingerprint of your email address, so that the ban cannot be escaped by signing up again. It cannot be turned back into your address and is not used for anything else.
Technical logs for up to 180 days, as Indian law requires. These contain account identifiers and timestamps — never your messages, photos or profile text.
Invoices and payment records, where tax law requires us to keep them.
